Older buildings rarely come with drawings you can trust, which is why we start every New Britain as-built with a scan rather than an archive search. A technician captures the building with a Leica RTC360, BLK2GO or Matterport Pro3, the scans are registered into one 3D point cloud, and the drawings are drafted from that: floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations and sections in AutoCAD and PDF, a Revit model at LOD 200–300 where you need it, and MEP and structural elements when scoped. A 360° digital twin and BOMA/REBNY area calculations are available on request.
We have not published a New Britain project yet. The nearest is a 6,200 sq ft contemporary residence on Baldwin Farms in Greenwich, documented in early 2025. In New York we scanned the 565,308 sq ft Poughkeepsie State Office Building complex over two weeks in 2025, modeling walls, windows, roofs and site topography in Revit from the point cloud for a renovation program; a 2,500 sq ft office suite in Manhattan in July 2024; and a 1,600 sq ft ranch house in Roxbury in March 2025.
How a New Britain project runs: you send the address, approximate square footage and deliverable list; we quote, with travel itemized. A technician scans the building in one visit while it stays in use. We register the scans, draft the set, you review it, we revise, and you receive the final files.

What does it cost?
Floor area, how much is in the building, the deliverables you choose and travel. A point cloud and CAD set is the base; Revit with MEP costs more drafting time. Quotes are itemized line by line.
Is it worth bringing you in from out of town?
For a factory floor, a multifamily building or a whole house, yes. New Britain is a short trip from our Greenwich and Hudson Valley projects, so travel is a small line in the total.
How accurate is it?
Every dimension is taken from the registered point cloud, not from a tape or a previous drawing. We confirm the tolerance for your deliverables in the quote.
Does the building have to close?
No. Production, trading and living all carry on while we scan; we work around people, stock and machinery.
Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes, as the existing-conditions base. In New Britain, building permits, demolition permits and certificates of occupancy are handled by the city's Department of Licenses, Permits and Inspections at 27 West Main Street, Room 404. Your architect or engineer files the application; we make sure the existing conditions in it are measured.
Can you document a multi-story industrial building?
Yes. Repetitive floors, heavy structure and exposed services are straightforward for a point cloud, and the levels are tied together so sections and stairs line up.
Who owns the files?
You do, including the point cloud and the Revit model.
