What does it cost?
Area, how much is in the space, the deliverables you want and travel to Yolo County. Point cloud and 2D CAD is the base tier; Revit is extra. The quote is itemized.
Is it worth bringing you in from out of town?
For most commercial, agricultural and institutional buildings, yes. The scan is one short visit, the rest is done off site, and travel is a separate line so you can weigh it against a local alternative.
How accurate is it?
Dimensions are measured from the point cloud rather than taped or copied from old drawings, and every element is captured in the same pass, so the sheets agree with each other. Irregular geometry is drawn as it exists.
Does the building have to close?
No. The Grass Valley clinic stayed in use while it was scanned, and we work around staff and customers. Early or after-hours scanning can be arranged.
Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes. Your architect or engineer uses the set as the existing-conditions base for a submittal to the City of Woodland Building Division, part of the Community Development Department at 300 First Street. Applications filed on or after January 1, 2026 are reviewed under the 2025 California codes.
Who owns the files?
You do. CAD, PDF, Revit and the point cloud are yours to keep and share with your consultants.
