Turlock FAQ
What does it cost?
Floor area, the density of what is inside (a plant with overhead piping and equipment versus an empty bay) and the deliverables you order decide the price. Point cloud plus 2D CAD is the base; Revit adds modeling hours. Travel is its own line and the quote is itemized so you can drop what you do not need.
Is it worth bringing you in from out of town?
In most cases, yes. Scanning takes hours, which keeps travel a small part of the bill, and the drafting is identical wherever the building is.
How accurate is it?
We scan with Leica RTC360 and BLK2GO scanners and Matterport Pro3 and draft from the registered point cloud rather than from tape measurements or earlier plans. Settled floors and out-of-square additions are drawn as they are.
Does the building have to close?
No. We work around staff, customers and production and can scan after hours when a floor is busy.
Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes. They are prepared as the existing-conditions base for the submittal your architect or engineer files with the City of Turlock Building & Safety Division at 156 S. Broadway, Suite 130, which takes all project submittals electronically in PDF and requires a plan check deposit with the application. Applications filed on or after January 1, 2026 are reviewed under the 2025 California codes.
Who owns the files?
You do. CAD, PDF, Revit and the point cloud go to you and your consultants.
