What you get

An as-built from ADS gives a Stockton owner, architect or contractor a measured record of the building as it stands today, not as it was drawn decades ago. The work begins with a LiDAR scan. From it we produce, depending on scope, a registered 3D point cloud, a 360° digital twin viewable in a browser, 2D CAD in AutoCAD and PDF (floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations and sections), a Revit model at LOD 200–300, and MEP or structural elements where they matter to your design. BOMA or REBNY area calculations can be added on request.

We have not yet published a Stockton project. The closest is in Grass Valley, where in July 2024 the crew documented a 3,754 sq ft single-level veterinary clinic inside a retail complex: walls, ceilings and partitions from LiDAR, ceiling-mounted MEP integrated into the reflected ceiling plan, and a full photo record, all delivered within eight days. Wendy Zhang of CURO Pet Care said the team "delivered precise as-built plans for our design needs." Larger buildings follow the same process: a 26,580 sq ft commercial building in San Diego (2024) and the 146,404 sq ft Solana Beach Shopping Mall (2025).

How a Stockton project runs: send the address, approximate square footage and the deliverables you need, and we quote with travel as its own line. A technician scans on a scheduled day while the building stays open. The scans are registered into one point cloud, drafting follows, and you review the drawings before final delivery.

Stockton FAQ

What does it cost?
The price follows floor area, how much there is to draw (an empty warehouse bay is quicker than a finished store with millwork and exposed ductwork) and which deliverables you choose. Point cloud and 2D CAD is the base; Revit adds modeling hours. Travel is listed separately and the quote is itemized so you can trim it.

Is it worth bringing you in from out of town?
In most cases, yes. Scanning takes hours, not days, so travel stays a small line, and the drafting is the same job wherever the building is.

How accurate is it?
Dimensions come from a registered point cloud captured with Leica RTC360 and BLK2GO scanners and Matterport Pro3, not from a tape measure or an old plan set. Out-of-square walls and sagging ceilings are drawn as they are.

Does the building have to close?
No. We scan around staff, customers and forklifts, and after-hours visits are available for busy floors.

Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes. They serve as the existing-conditions base for the submittal your architect or engineer files with the City of Stockton Community Development Department, Building & Life Safety Division, through the Permit Center at 345 N. El Dorado Street or the Accela Citizen Access portal. Applications filed on or after January 1, 2026 are reviewed under the 2025 California codes.

Who owns the files?
You do. CAD, PDF, Revit and the point cloud are delivered to you and your consultants.
