Pico Rivera FAQ
What does it cost?
Three things set the price: floor area, how much is in the space (an empty shell is quicker to draft than a fitted-out store or a plant floor full of equipment) and which deliverables you order. Travel is a separate line. Point cloud plus 2D CAD is the base tier; Revit adds modeling time. Quotes are itemized so you can remove what you do not need.
Is it worth bringing you in from out of town?
Usually yes. Scanning is a matter of hours, so travel stays a small part of the total, and the drafting that makes up most of the cost is done the same way wherever the building is.
How accurate is it?
We scan with Leica RTC360 and BLK2GO scanners and Matterport Pro3 and draft from the registered point cloud, not from tape measurements or old plans. Columns, dock doors and mezzanines are drawn where the scanner found them.
Does the building have to close?
No. We work around staff, forklifts and customers, and can scan after hours if the floor is too busy during the day.
Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes. They are prepared as the existing-conditions base for the submittal your architect or engineer files with the City of Pico Rivera Building Division at 6615 Passons Boulevard. Applications filed on or after January 1, 2026 are reviewed under the 2025 California codes.
Who owns the files?
You do. CAD, PDF, Revit and the point cloud go to you and your consultants.
