New Haven FAQ
What does it cost?
Square footage, complexity, deliverables and travel. A bare floor plate is quick; a fitted-out lab or restaurant with exposed services takes longer. A point cloud with CAD is the base tier; Revit and MEP add drafting time. Quotes are itemized.
Is it worth bringing you in from out of town?
New Haven is within easy reach of our Greenwich and New York projects, so travel is a modest line. For any whole building or tenant space, a measured record costs less than the rework it prevents.
How accurate is it?
Dimensions are read from the LiDAR point cloud, so nothing in the set is estimated. The tolerance for your deliverables is confirmed in the quote.
Does the building have to close?
No. We scan with occupants in place and work around people, furniture and equipment; after-hours scanning can be arranged.
Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes, as the existing-conditions base your architect or engineer submits. In New Haven, building permits are handled by the City of New Haven Building Department at 200 Orange Street, 5th Floor, which accepts applications through its online permitting portal and in person. Your design professional files; we make sure the existing conditions behind the application are measured.
Can you document a building with high ceilings and ornate detail?
Yes. Tall spaces, moldings and irregular walls are captured in the point cloud, and interior elevations and sections can be drafted to show them.
Who owns the files?
You do. Point cloud, CAD, PDF and Revit are delivered to you and your consultants.
