What you get

When a Monterey Park building needs drawings that match what is actually there, ADS scans it with LiDAR and drafts from the scan. Depending on scope you receive a registered 3D point cloud, a 360° digital twin you can walk through online, 2D CAD in AutoCAD and PDF (floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations and sections), a Revit model at LOD 200–300, and MEP or structural elements where they matter to the job. BOMA or REBNY area calculations are available on request.

We have not yet published a Monterey Park project. The nearest is a few miles west on Olvera Street in downtown Los Angeles: the 3,117 sq ft second floor of an institutional building, scanned in May 2026 with Leica equipment and delivered as a Revit model plus CAD floor plan, reflected ceiling plan, interior elevations and schedules. As added value the crew also documented an unplanned technical room and handed over its full point cloud. Our Sherman Oaks and Rolling Hills surveys and our San Diego County work are listed below.

How a Monterey Park project runs: you send the address, approximate square footage and deliverables; we quote, itemized, with travel as a separate line since no ADS crew is based in Los Angeles County. The scan is done while the building operates. We register the scans into one point cloud, draft the drawings, and you review them before final delivery.

Monterey Park FAQ

What does it cost?
Floor area, interior complexity, the deliverables you choose and travel. The entry tier is point cloud plus 2D CAD; a Revit model adds drafting time. Each quote is itemized.

Is it worth bringing you in from out of town?
For most commercial and multi-unit buildings, yes: a single scan visit captures the whole property, and the travel line is modest compared with repeat measuring trips.

How accurate is it?
Our Leica RTC360 and BLK2GO scanners and Matterport Pro3 produce the point cloud, and the drawings are traced from it, so every dimension is measured rather than assumed.

Does the building have to close?
No. Restaurants, stores, clinics and offices stay open while we scan; after-hours visits can be arranged.

Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes. Your architect or engineer submits through the City of Monterey Park Building and Safety Division's One Stop Building Permit Center at 320 W. Newmark Avenue and tracks plan check and inspections in the city's Citizen Access portal; applications filed on or after January 1, 2026 are reviewed under the 2025 California codes. Our drawings give that submittal measured existing conditions.

Who owns the files?
You do. CAD, PDF, Revit and the point cloud belong to you and your consultants.
