Chula Vista FAQ
What does it cost?
Floor area, how much is in the space and which deliverables you need. Point cloud and CAD is the base tier; a Revit model with MEP, as at Thornmint Court, adds modelling time. Travel within San Diego County is minimal and shown separately.
Is it worth bringing you in from out of town?
We are not out of town for Chula Vista: three of our published projects are in San Diego County, so there is no long-distance premium.
How accurate is it?
Drawings are measured from the registered point cloud. At Thornmint Court that precision was enough to model dense conduit runs for an engineering firm.
Does the building have to close?
No. Offices, stores and warehouses stay in use; we schedule around your peak hours.
Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes. Your architect or engineer submits them as the existing-conditions base to the City of Chula Vista Building Division at 276 Fourth Avenue. Note that a building permit there expires if work has not started within 180 days of issue. Applications on or after 1 January 2026 are reviewed under the 2025 California codes.
Who owns the files?
You do. CAD, PDF, Revit and the point cloud are delivered to you and your consultants.
