Pittsburg FAQ
What does it cost?
Floor area, the amount of equipment and finish inside, and the deliverables you choose drive the price; travel is quoted on its own line. The least expensive package is a point cloud with 2D CAD. A Revit model costs more because it takes more modeling hours. Each quote is itemized.
Is it worth bringing you in from out of town?
For most buildings, yes. A scan takes hours rather than days, so travel is a small share of the job, and the drafting is the same whether the building is in Pittsburg or Los Angeles.
How accurate is it?
Measurements come from Leica RTC360 and BLK2GO scanners and Matterport Pro3, and the drawings are drafted from the registered point cloud. Nothing is carried over from old plans or paced off with a tape.
Does the building have to close?
No. A plant, office or store keeps operating while we scan; if an area is too busy, we come back after hours.
Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes. The set is prepared as the existing-conditions base for the application your architect or engineer submits to the City of Pittsburg Building Division, 65 Civic Avenue, which manages plan submittal, review, permit issuance and inspections through its online Permit Center. Applications filed on or after January 1, 2026 are reviewed under the 2025 California codes.
Who owns the files?
You do. The point cloud, CAD, PDF and Revit files are delivered to you and your consultants.
