Project Overview
Nestled in Miami’s downtown core near the historic Flagler Street corridor, this 6,691 sq. ft. commercial property required a complete structural survey across its two levels. AS-BUILT DRAWING SERVICES utilized advanced mobile LiDAR tools to accurately record the steel framework, supporting both engineering evaluation and renovation design. The handheld workflow allowed detailed capture within confined spaces while maintaining uninterrupted building operations.

Our Role & Technology
The team executed a mobile LiDAR workflow with the Leica BLK2GO to document complex steel assemblies with efficiency and precision.
Processed over 15 million scan points into a coordinated Revit model through automated point cloud analysis.
Developed LOD 300 structural families derived directly from the LiDAR dataset.
Reconstructed angled trusses and interconnected members using SLAM-based geometry mapping for accurate spatial documentation.
Key Challenges & Solutions
On-site validation: Real-time scanning ensured continuous accuracy checks throughout the workflow.
Confined framework: Narrow truss zones were fully documented using handheld scanning mobility
Dimensional fidelity: Verification of steel profiles against dense point clouds achieved ±4 mm precision across all elements.
