What you get

If you are renovating, re-leasing or re-permitting a building in Winston-Salem and the drawings on file no longer match what is standing, we measure it for you. A technician scans the building with a Leica RTC360, Leica BLK2GO or Matterport Pro3, and the drafting team works from that scan, so every dimension in the set was measured rather than copied from an old plan.

Depending on scope you receive a registered 3D point cloud, a 360° digital twin you can open in a browser, 2D CAD in AutoCAD and PDF (floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections), a Revit model at LOD 200–300, MEP and structural elements where scoped, and BOMA or REBNY area calculations on request.

We have not yet published a Winston-Salem project. The nearest is Gallery House in Charlotte, a 10,443 sq ft commercial building documented in February 2025, followed by the 9,110 sq ft single-family home in Banner Elk we surveyed in the High Country in summer 2024. Both are listed below.

How a Winston-Salem project runs: you send the address, approximate square footage and the deliverables you need, and we return an itemized quote. Because we do not keep a crew in Winston-Salem, travel appears as its own line so you can see exactly what it adds. On scan day the building stays open while the technician works through it. The scans are registered into one point cloud, the drawings are drafted from it, and you review the set before final delivery.

Winston-Salem FAQ

What does it cost?
Floor area, how much is in the space (a bare shell is quicker to draw than a finished clinic with exposed ductwork), the deliverables you choose and travel set the price. Point cloud plus 2D CAD is the lowest tier; a Revit model adds drafting time. Every quote is itemized so you can drop what you do not need.

Is it worth bringing you in from out of town?
For most Winston-Salem buildings, yes. The scan itself takes hours, not days, so travel is a modest share of the total, and the Charlotte and Banner Elk projects below were done the same way.

How accurate is it?
Drawings are drafted from a registered point cloud captured with Leica RTC360, Leica BLK2GO or Matterport Pro3 scanners, not from tape measurements, so dimensions are measured, not assumed.

Does the building have to close?
No. Offices, stores and clinics stay open while we scan; we work around staff, and after-hours visits can be arranged.

Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes. Your architect or engineer uses the set as the existing-conditions base for a renovation or tenant-improvement submittal to Winston-Salem's Inspections Division, which takes commercial applications through its GeoCivix online portal. Your design professional handles the filing; our job is to make sure the existing conditions in it are right.

Who owns the files?
You do. CAD, PDF, Revit and the point cloud are delivered to you and your consultants.
