What you get
ADS delivers as-built drawings measured from a laser scan, not redrawn from whatever is in the file cabinet. A Sandy project can include, depending on scope: a registered 3D point cloud of the whole building; a 360° digital twin you can walk through in a browser; 2D CAD drawings in AutoCAD and PDF (floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations and sections); a Revit model at LOD 200–300; and MEP and structural elements where your engineers need them. BOMA or REBNY area calculations are available on request.
We have not yet published a Sandy or Utah project. The nearest completed work is in the Southwest: the 2,492 sq ft James Perse store at Scottsdale Fashion Square, scanned between December 2024 and January 2025; a 5,922 sq ft single-family home in Los Alamos, New Mexico, in July 2024; and the 1,147 sq ft TAG Heuer boutique at The Shops at Crystals in Las Vegas, captured with a Matterport Pro3 in March 2022 without closing the store.
How a Sandy project runs: you send the address, approximate square footage and the deliverables you want; we return an itemized quote with travel on its own line. A technician scans the building in one visit while it remains in use. The scans are registered into one point cloud, the drawings are drafted from it, you review the set, and we revise before final delivery.

What does it cost?
Price is set by floor area, interior complexity, the deliverables you order and travel, with each as its own line. Point cloud and 2D CAD is the lowest tier; adding Revit or MEP documentation adds drafting time.
Is it worth bringing you in from out of town?
For a retail center, an office building, a church or several south-valley properties scanned on one trip, the travel line is a minor part of the quote. For a single small home it may not be, and we will say so.
How accurate is it?
We scan with Leica RTC360 and BLK2GO scanners and the Matterport Pro3 and draft from the point cloud, so dimensions are measured rather than assumed from earlier plans.
Does the building have to close?
No. One technician works around staff, customers or residents; a typical store or office is scanned in hours.
Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes. They are prepared as the existing-conditions base for the set your architect or engineer submits to the Sandy City Building & Safety Division, which takes permit applications and inspection requests through the city website. Your design professional files; we make sure the existing conditions are right.
Who owns the files?
You do. CAD, PDF, Revit and the point cloud are delivered to you and your consultants.
