Here is what an ADS as-built gives a Pflugerville owner, tenant or design team, in the order it is produced. First, a registered 3D point cloud of the building, captured with LiDAR in a single site visit. Second, a 360° digital twin built from that scan, which anyone on the project can open in a browser to check a condition without driving out. What does it cost?
The quote is driven by floor area, how much is in the space (a clear-span warehouse drafts faster than a fitted-out office with exposed ductwork and multiple ceiling heights), the deliverables you select and travel. Point cloud with 2D CAD is the base tier; a Revit model adds modelling time. Every line is itemized so you can drop what you do not need.
Is it worth bringing you in from out of town?
For a whole building, usually. A single scan visit captures every wall, column, clear height and exposed service, and the drawings are produced from that record, so there is no second trip for a dimension nobody caught. Travel is a separate line on the quote so you can weigh it before deciding.
How accurate is it?
We scan with Leica RTC360 and BLK2GO scanners and Matterport Pro3 and draft from the registered point cloud, so the dimensions in the CAD and Revit sets are measured rather than assumed. The tolerance that applies to your deliverable is stated in the quote.
Does the building have to close?
No. The technician works around staff, forklifts and customers, and we can scan outside operating hours if a warehouse floor or store would rather not have us there during the shift.
Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes. Your architect or engineer uses the set as the existing-conditions base for the submittal. In Pflugerville, building permits and inspections are handled by the Building Inspections & Permits division of the city's Development Services Center, which publishes separate application guidelines for commercial and residential work. The design professional files it; we make sure the existing conditions in it are right.
