Every ADS as-built begins with a LiDAR scan and ends with drawings your architect, engineer or contractor can work from. We scan with the Leica RTC360, Leica BLK2GO and Matterport Pro3, and depending on scope you receive a registered 3D point cloud, a 360° digital twin you can walk through in a browser, 2D CAD in AutoCAD and PDF (floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections), a Revit model at LOD 200–300, and MEP or structural elements where you need them. BOMA or REBNY area calculations are available on request.
We have not yet published a Naperville project. The nearest is in Chicago, where in June 2025 we scanned a 400 sq ft space for a luxury kitchen pre-installation survey, the kind of tight-tolerance job where cabinetry is fabricated to the measured room. What does it cost?
Floor area, how much is in the space (a finished office with ceilings and exposed MEP takes longer to draft than an empty shell), the deliverables you choose and travel set the price. Point cloud plus 2D CAD is the base; Revit adds modeling time. Every quote is itemized.
Is it worth bringing you in from out of town?
We have no Naperville crew, so travel is quoted as a separate line and you can judge it against the rest. One visit captures the whole building; return trips for missed dimensions are what the point cloud is meant to eliminate.
How accurate is it?
Dimensions are drawn from a registered laser-scan point cloud, not from tape measurements, so what is in the drawings is what the scanner measured on site.
Does the building have to close?
No. Scanning is done around staff and customers during normal hours, and after-hours visits can be arranged.
Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes, as the existing-conditions base your architect or engineer submits from. In Naperville, building permits go through the City of Naperville's Permitting, Plans and Licensing Portal; your design professional handles the submittal and our job is to make sure the existing conditions in it are right.
Who owns the files?
