A technician scans the building in a single visit while it stays in use. We register the scans into one point cloud, draft the drawings from it, and send you the set to review before final delivery.

What does it cost?

Is it worth bringing you in from out of town?
It depends on the size of the job. A whole building, a campus of several structures or a project headed for BIM justifies a travel line; a single room usually does not, and we will say so.
How accurate is it?
Every dimension is taken from the registered point cloud produced by a Leica RTC360, Leica BLK2GO or Matterport Pro3, so the drawings reflect what is there rather than what the original plans said.
Does the building have to close?
No. Offices, shops, clinics and homes stay in use while we scan; we work around people and can come in outside business hours.
Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes, as the existing-conditions base in your design professional's submittal. In Missoula, building plans for new, remodel, residential and commercial work are reviewed by the Building Division of the City of Missoula's Development Services, and applications go through the city's online permit portal. Your architect or engineer prepares and files the application.
Who owns the files?
You do. The CAD, PDF, Revit and point cloud files are yours to share with anyone on your team.
