McAllen FAQ
What does it cost?
Floor area first, then complexity (a clinic with many small rooms takes longer than an open warehouse of the same size), then deliverables and travel. Point cloud and 2D CAD is the base; Revit is extra. Every item is listed separately.
Is it worth bringing you in from out of town?
For one small room, no. For a shopping-center suite, a medical office, a dealership or a whole warehouse, the scan usually costs less than a single set of corrections caused by a bad base plan, and the travel line is a small share of the total.
How accurate is it?
Leica RTC360 and BLK2GO scanners and the Matterport Pro3 record the building as a dense point cloud, and the CAD and Revit sets are drawn from it. Dimensions are measured, not estimated.
Does the building have to close?
No. The scan is non-contact and quiet. Customers and staff keep working; we schedule around peak hours or come after close if you prefer.
Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes, as the existing-conditions base. Inside the city, plan review, permits and inspections are handled by the City of McAllen Building Permits & Inspections Department, which takes applications through its online permit portal. Your architect or engineer prepares and files the submittal.
Who owns the files?
You do. CAD, PDF, Revit and the point cloud go to you and the consultants you name.
