What you get

A laser-scanned as-built gives a Laredo property owner or architect one measured record of the building, from which every drawing is produced. ADS scans with a Leica RTC360, Leica BLK2GO or Matterport Pro3, registers the scans into a single 3D point cloud, and drafts from it the deliverables you order: 2D CAD floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations and sections in AutoCAD and PDF; a Revit model at LOD 200–300; a 360° digital twin; and MEP or structural elements where scoped. BOMA or REBNY area calculations are available for lease and sale work.

We have not yet published a Laredo project. Our Texas work to date is in Dallas, where we scanned the James Perse store at 3337 N Fitzhugh Avenue (2,798 sq ft, April 2025) and a 4,635 sq ft single-level brick and wood home in Hillcrest (spring 2025), and in Amarillo, where we documented the 8,200 sq ft Brown Subaru dealership with the Leica RTC360 in November 2024. Dealerships, distribution buildings and cross-dock warehouses follow the same workflow as that Amarillo job.

How a Laredo project runs: send the address, approximate square footage and the deliverables you want; we return an itemized quote with travel shown separately. The scan is normally one visit and the building keeps operating. Registration and drafting follow, you review the set, and we revise before final delivery.

Laredo FAQ

What does it cost?
Square footage, how much is in the space to document, the deliverables you choose and travel set the price. Point cloud and 2D CAD is the lowest tier; Revit is an add-on. Each quote is itemized.

Is it worth bringing you in from out of town?
For a warehouse, store or any building over a few thousand square feet, usually yes. Travel to Laredo is a single line on the quote; the scan is one visit, and drafting and revisions are remote for every client. Scanning more than one property per trip spreads the travel cost.

How accurate is it?
Every dimension is taken from the point cloud, millions of measured points per scanner position, so the drawings reflect the building as it stands, including additions and alterations that never made it onto the original plans.

Does the building have to close?
No. Warehouses, stores and offices stay in operation while we scan. We work around forklifts, racking and customers, and off-hours visits can be arranged.

Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes. The set is prepared as the existing-conditions base for the application your architect or engineer files with the City of Laredo Building Development Services department at 1413 Houston Street, the single point of contact for building permits inside the city limits; applications go through its online Citizen Access portal or the counter. They submit; we supply the measured record.

Who owns the files?
You do. Point cloud, CAD, PDF and Revit files go to you and anyone you name.
