What does it cost?
The quote is built from floor area, the density of what has to be drawn, the deliverables you select and travel to Lansing. Point cloud plus 2D CAD is the lowest tier; a Revit model or MEP documentation adds hours. Each line is itemized so you can drop what you do not need.
Is it worth bringing you in from out of town?
For a whole building, a campus facility or any renovation an architect will design from, the measured set usually saves more than the travel line costs, because nobody has to go back and re-measure. For one small space, ask; we will give you a straight answer.
How accurate is it?
The drawings are produced from the LiDAR point cloud, so dimensions are measured rather than paced off or assumed. Reflective surfaces such as glass and polished stone are managed by adjusting the scanner on site.
Does the building have to close?
No. A technician scans while the building is in normal use. Where a space needs to be empty for security or privacy, we schedule around it.
Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes, as the existing-conditions base. The City of Lansing handles building permits and commercial plan review through its Building Safety Office, with applications through the city's permit portal at lansingmi.gov. Your architect or engineer prepares and files the submittal; our part is making sure the existing conditions in it are correct.
Who owns the files?
You do. The point cloud, CAD, PDF and Revit files are delivered to you and your consultants.
