What you get

Our closest published project to Johnson City is across the state line in Banner Elk, North Carolina: a 9,110 sq ft single-family home documented between July and August 2024. From there the list runs south and east: Gallery House in Charlotte, a 10,443 sq ft commercial building scanned in February 2025; the Fendi boutique at Phipps Plaza in Atlanta, 5,132 sq ft captured with a Matterport Pro3 in June 2022; and Lucky Goat Coffee at Stonebridge Village in Flowery Branch, Georgia, a 1,838 sq ft café from November 2024.

A Johnson City as-built follows the same workflow. The technician scans the building with LiDAR; the registered 3D point cloud is the measured record, and from it we draft 2D CAD in AutoCAD and PDF (floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations and sections), a Revit model at LOD 200–300 if your team works in BIM, and MEP and structural elements where scoped. A 360° digital twin lets you revisit the space in a browser. BOMA or REBNY area calculations are available on request.

How a Johnson City project runs: send the address, approximate square footage and deliverables for an itemized quote, with travel listed on its own line. One scan visit with the building open, then registration, drafting, your review and final delivery.

Johnson City FAQ

What does it cost?
Price is set by floor area, how much is in the space, the deliverables you choose and travel. Point cloud and 2D CAD is the base; Revit adds modeling time. The quote is itemized so you can drop lines.

Is it worth bringing you in from out of town?
We documented the Banner Elk house and the Charlotte building the same way we would a Johnson City one: the scan is usually one visit, and travel is a single line you can judge on the quote.

How accurate is it?
We scan with Leica RTC360, Leica BLK2GO and Matterport Pro3 scanners and draft from the point cloud, so every dimension is measured on site.

Does the building have to close?
No. Homes, clinics, stores and offices stay open while we work around the occupants; after-hours scanning is available.

Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes. The set is the existing-conditions base your architect or engineer files. In Johnson City, building permit applications, fee schedules and inspection guides are handled through the City of Johnson City's permits and licenses office (423-434-6047). Your design professional handles the submittal; we make sure the existing conditions in it are right.

Who owns the files?
You do. Point cloud, CAD, PDF and Revit are delivered to you and your consultants.
