Is it worth bringing you in from out of town?
It usually is for commercial buildings and larger homes. The scan takes one visit, drafting is done remotely anyway, and travel is a fixed line you see before you commit. We will tell you if a job is too small to carry that line.
How accurate is it?
The drawings are built from a registered point cloud, so dimensions are measured, not estimated from a few spot checks. If a stated tolerance is required, ask for it when you request the quote.
Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes. Building permits in Idaho Falls are handled by the City of Idaho Falls Building Division, 380 Constitution Way, with applications, fees and inspections managed through the City's Cityworks portal. Your architect or engineer submits; our drawings are the existing-conditions base.
Who owns the files?
