What does it cost?
Square footage, the amount of detail in the space, which deliverables you want and travel determine the quote. A point cloud with 2D CAD is the base; a Revit model is extra drafting. Every item is listed separately.
Is it worth bringing you in from out of town?
We have no Wisconsin office, so travel is its own line on the quote and you can weigh it directly. In return one scan visit records the whole building for every consultant on the project.
How accurate is it?
The space is scanned with Leica RTC360, Leica BLK2GO or Matterport Pro3 equipment and drawn from the registered point cloud, so dimensions are measured rather than assumed.
Does the building have to close?
No. The technician works through the building while it is in use; evening or weekend scanning can be arranged.
Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes. Your architect or engineer uses the set as the existing-conditions base for an alteration or addition permit from the City of Fond du Lac's Inspection Division, part of the Community Development Department, which requires permits for interior and exterior alterations as well as new buildings and additions. They file; we make sure the existing conditions are right.
Who owns the files?
You do. Point cloud, CAD, PDF and Revit files are delivered to you and your consultants.

Permits & governing bodies
Building permits in Fond du Lac are issued by the City of Fond du Lac Inspection Division, part of the Community Development Department, at 160 South Macy Street on the first floor of the City/County Government building.
