Erie FAQ
What does it cost?
Four things set the price: floor area, how much is inside the building (open warehouse versus fitted-out office), the deliverables you order and travel. Point cloud plus 2D CAD is the base tier and Revit is added on top. Every quote is itemized.
Is it worth bringing you in from out of town?
For a plant, a warehouse, an office floor or a whole house, yes. Scanning is one visit, travel is a single line on the quote, and you end up with a point cloud and digital twin that no local tape-measure survey produces.
How accurate is it?
We draw from a registered point cloud captured with Leica RTC360, Leica BLK2GO and Matterport Pro3 scanners. Dimensions on the drawings are measured values, not assumptions, which matters in older industrial buildings where nothing is quite square.
Does the building have to close?
No. We scan around staff, tenants and customers during normal hours and can work evenings or weekends where a space is busy all day.
Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes. The set is prepared as the existing-conditions base your architect or engineer submits with the application. In Erie that goes to the Code Enforcement office in Room 407 of City Hall, 626 State Street, which reviews, issues and inspects building permits; applications can be emailed to permits@erie.pa.us or brought in person. Your design professional handles the submittal; we make sure the existing conditions in it are right.
Who owns the files?
You do. CAD, PDF, Revit and the point cloud are delivered to you and your consultants.
