DeSoto FAQ
What does it cost?
Price follows floor area, interior complexity, the deliverables you choose and travel. Point cloud and 2D CAD is the lowest tier; Revit modeling is added on top. Everything is itemized so you can decide what to keep.
How accurate is it?
Dimensions are pulled from a registered point cloud captured with Leica RTC360 and BLK2GO scanners and Matterport Pro3. Nothing is estimated from old plans or paced off; the drawings show the building as built.
Does the building have to close?
No. We scan around tenants, staff and equipment. Warehouses, churches, clinics and shops all stay in use during the visit, and we can come after hours if that suits the building better.
Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes. The set is prepared as the existing-conditions base your architect or engineer submits. In DeSoto, building permits go to the City's Development Services Department, Building Inspection Division, 211 E. Pleasant Run Road, through the Customer Self-Service Portal; the City has adopted the 2021 International Codes and the 2023 National Electrical Code. Your design professional files the application.
Who owns the files?
You do. CAD, PDF, Revit and the point cloud are delivered to you and your consultants.
