Deltona FAQ
What does it cost?
Price follows floor area, the amount of detail in the space, which deliverables you order and travel. Floor plans from a point cloud are the lowest tier; adding a Revit model adds drafting hours. The quote is itemized line by line.
Is it worth bringing you in from out of town?
It can be, and the quote lets you judge: travel is shown separately, so you see what a scan-based set costs against hand measuring. A typical house is scanned in a single visit.
How accurate is it?
The scanner measures the building and the drawings are traced from that point cloud, so room sizes, ceiling heights and openings are recorded as they are, including walls that are not square and floors that are not level.
Does the building have to close?
No. Homes are scanned with the family at home, and shops or offices during opening hours. We only need clear access to the rooms being documented.
Will the drawings work for my permit?
Yes, as the existing-conditions drawings your designer or contractor includes in the application to your city's building department. For condominium and co-op buildings three stories or taller, Florida's milestone inspection law (F.S. 553.899) also applies statewide, and an as-built set is the usual starting point for the engineer.
Who owns the files?
You do. The point cloud, CAD, PDF and Revit files are yours and go to whichever consultants you name.
